As a former college athlete it was hard to see what I had become. I chalked my out-of-shape body up to getting older, having kids and that’s just what happens naturally. I remember being so jealous when I would see a runner on the street, thinking of how that used to be me. I stopped and started over with workouts many times but never followed through. In 2010, my doctor plotted my BMI and put me in the morbidly obese category. Change was a must.
I found the Bodies By Design Workout Room, at their Hutto location, and immediately fell in love with the family atmosphere, group accountability and trainer support. It keeps me coming back.
Since 2010, I’ve lost 40 pounds and wear single digit sized clothes. I now love to tell people how old I am because I look younger now. This is the hardest I have worked in a long time. I still have more to do but will continue to rise to the challenge. The best part is, I know I can do it and I am not afraid.
